Childcare Vouchers
A simple explanation...
Childcare vouchers are a Government scheme designed to help parents afford registered childcare.
They are available to all working parents throughout the UK, and unlike other benefits such as tax
credits, they are not means tested.
How do they work?
They are a popular and easy way of saving money and are normally provided through salary sacrifice. Employers
can offer their employees up to £55 per week, or £243 per month in childcare vouchers free of tax and national
insurance contributions (NIC). The maximum amount available for salary sacrifice is subject to a Basic Earnings Assessment.
Parents...
By using childcare vouchers to pay for childcare each parent can save up to £1,000 per year, making a potential annual family saving of £2,000.
Employers For Childcare Vouchers can be used for all types of registered childcare including day nurseries, childminders, breakfast and afterschool clubs.
Employers...
By offering a salary sacrifice scheme employers can take advantage of substantial savings through their employers NIC.
Childcare Providers...
We make same day payments directly to childcare providers by BACS, with a clear reference quoted against all payments, making
reconciliation fast and simple.
